History

Yong Hwang was a corrupt politician in his past, with some ties to Taesan Ju. When he heard his daughter was dating Seongjun, he warned her that Seongjun used to be a member of the yakuza, and was likely using her in some way. Seongjun went to him to clarify his feelings for Hye-yeon, and to propose an alliance: that he would help take down Jinho Lee if Yong would take down Taesan Ju. Yong did not approve of the man but agreed to work together until that day.

Synopsis

Hye-yeon first introduces Hobin to Yong Hwang, and she tells him that Seongjun trusted the boy. Hwang is not interested in helping Hobin since he was very foolish in his plans to take down 244. He tells Hobin he will die soon since 244 and Taesan Ju are not forgiving people. Hobin asks Congressman Hwang to help him for the sake of his friends, or he will go to Taesan Ju and tell him that they've met. Hwang grabs Hobin by the face and asks why Hobin isn't as afraid of him as Taesan. He gives Hobin an opportunity to show his worth, or he won't help out. As he walks away, he remembers Seongjun threatening him with the same terms as Hobin.

Hobin and Gyeoul later go to Congressman Hwang with the evidence of 244's drug corpse operation, but he is convinced it isn't enough. Since 244 controls the media, they can easily denounce this kind of information and bury it, unless they bring forth stronger evidence. However, he is convinced of their resolve. He tells Hobin that if he goes after 244, he will go after Taesan Ju. Hobin asks why Congressman Hwang didn't just use his evidence to shut down Taesan Ju from the beginning. The reason was that 244 was working alongside him, and would have been able to silence him. He originally wanted to work with Seongjun to take down 244, but Hobin ruined that endeavor before it could finish, although he isn't too upset about Seongjun's demise. Gyeoul wakes up from her nap to say she overheard the warehouse men talking about people arriving in 90 days. Hwang tells Hobin to go after them. If they're Lee Jinho's men, they'll be carrying drugs, and that might provide enough solid evidence to shut down 244.

The prosecutor tells Congressman Hwang that she was attacked on the street by what seem to be Lee Jinho's men. He tells her to go into hiding. There is a monk in Gangwon-do, at Hwa-an-san temple who will hide her for some time. At the end of the 87 days, they will meet. He soon hears that Hye-yeon was killed in a car bomb.

Yong reflects on the past when he first met Seongjun, and asked how much information he recieved from Hye-yeon. Seongjun says that if he goes after Taesan Ju, he can take down 244. The congressman asks why he would consider helping him. Seongjun says that he has different goals than Taesan. He has also fallen in love with Hye-yeon, and that changed his mind. When he watched Hobin's expose video, Seongjun called the congressman to tell him not to take action, but to someday tell Hye-yeon that his feelings were real. Unfortunately, that was the last time the two of them spoke. Yong attends Hye-yeon's funeral alone, and tells Gyeoul to warn Hobin not to attend.

Hobin runs to a park bench where Yong Hwang is seated. He tells him that the smuggling boat will be arriving the next day, and he should be ready to film. Hwang will have his reporters at ready then. It was Taesan who shut his account down and not 244, so that won't be an issue this time. He tells Hobin to not run away, and Hobin says he has never lost before, which Hwang finds pathetic.

Yong Hwang gets an angry call from Taesan Ju, who is wondering why his crimes are being exposed. Yong asks why Taesan didn't come to Hye-yeon's funeral. Taesan tells Yong that he will go down if he doesn't do something about the situation, and Yong says he is ready to face the consequences of his actions, and so should Taesan.

Taesan Ju soon appears in front of reports to say he will cooperate with the investigation. He asks Yong Hwang if he isn't scared of the consequences, but Yong is firm in his decision. He tells the reporters to tune in to Seongjun Baek's Newtube stream, and that a boy is fighting for justice.
