Viral Hit Wiki

Season 1[]

Hobin is forced to pose for Pakgo and Rumi's livestream as a makeup model. Later, he is beat up by Jihyeok. After school, he goes to his fast food job, where he saves Bomi from getting hit on by Pakgo. When work ends, he visits the hospital and pays the hospital bills, and the lady at the reception desk pities him. His mother asks if Hobin was having a rough time, and Hobin lies to her and says that he is alright.

After being bullied into it, Hobin allows Snapper livestream using his mom's account. As he heats up his mother's kimchi, Snapper is trying to get 30 kills on livestream. When he brings him the food, Hobin trips on a wire and spills the Kimchi on Snapper by accident. The screen is shut off due to the unplugged wire. Snapper begins beating Hobin, yelling that he is ruining his stream. He tells him he is a cancer just like his mother, and Hobin begins fighting Snapper back. The next morning he wakes up to Snapper calling him, yelling at him to delete the video. It went viral, and has gained Hobin about 10 million views.

At the hospital, Hobin decides to pay his mother's bills forward, knowing that he will be gaining a lot from his latest video. As he walks home, Snapper attacks him angrily. The two of them fight until they are tired, and Hobin tries to console Snapper. He shows him a video he took secretly of the fight, and makes Hobin an offer: he will be Hobin's cameraman as he creates more fighting videos. Hobin refuses the deal until he is offered 90% of the earnings.

When Pakgo begins streaming again, he introduces Hobin and Snapper as the two who fought in the viral video, in an attempt to gain some clout. Hobin interrupts him to expose Pakgo as a fraud, but he shuts off his livestream. While Pakgo is beating Hobin, Snapper secretly takes a livestream. Hobin decides to spice up the video by saying he will fight Pakgo back for disrespecting his mother.

VS Pakgo[]

Hobin's classmates are impressed by his courage against Pakgo, but he was hoping they would call his bluff. He quickly realizes that Pakgo is too strong for him to defeat. Then Pakgo tells Hobin he is a cancer, and it's no wonder his mother became ill with it. Hobin tries to charge at Pakgo, but he lifts him and slams him onto the ground. He sits on top of Hobin to beat him further, but another student in the class tells him to stop being noisy. Pakgo backs down when he realizes this is Munseong Kim, a rising MMA rookie. Hobin is amazed by Munseong's aura, and his ability to control the room.

When Hobin comes back, he is both disappointed in himself and excited. He and Snapper uploaded the video to Newtube, and now Pakgo's career is about to crumble. Pakgo finds his phone blowing up at home, and is horrified at the damage that was done.

Still reeling from the fight, Hobin goes online to learn how to fight properly, so he can elongate his battles. He finds a fighting instructor with a rooster head called Samdak, who has an unpopular but informative channel on how to fight.

The chicken head says that when fighting, one should never lose their cool. The first technique he goes over is how to get hit so that it doesn't hurt. After watching, Hobin doubts that fighting would be that easy, and leaves to go to work instead.

In the city, Pakgo asks some pretty girls for an interview because he wants to regain subscribers, but he has no luck. He had attempted to remedy the situation by livestreaming an apology, but it was unsuccessful because he was caught faking it. Hobin's channel "Viral Hit" overtook his as the new rising channel.

At work, Hobin goes to quit his job because it didn't make enough money to pay for his mom. The other workers and boss mock him for his actions, but Bomi asks for his number so that they could continue texting.

At school, Hobin awkwardly texts Bomi, when Jihyeok interrupts him and asks if he had any new video ideas. Hobin decides not to tell him about the chicken man he saw on NewTube, and says that he is still thinking. Jihyeok is unhappy with Hobin, saying that Hobin wasn't taking it seriously enough.

Rumi joins the conversation and asks them if they'd do a collab because her followers wanted one. Both of the boys are instantly taken in by her looks, and they almost agree, when an angry Pakgo walks into the room. He approaches Hobin with the intention of beating him up, and Hobin remembers the chicken man's advice of never losing your cool. When Pakgo attempts to punch him, Hobin unintentionally dodges, further infuriating Pakgo. Hobin thinks that the situation was exactly how chicken head said it would be.

Hobin prepares to implement his newfound fighting techniques, but Snapper manages to stop Pakgo by threatening to upload footage. Pakgo swears revenge upon Hobin, Snapper, and Rumi.

Outside of school, Hobin is waiting for Snapper to make his next move. As he waits, he begins texting Bomi, who tells him she would rather call him. He is ecstatic, and even more happy when he sees a couple on the street recognize him. However, they end up attempting to rob him, and find out Hobin doesn't have any money. The man takes Hobin's phone, and Snapper tries to defend him but is beaten. He managed to get footage of the robbery, and advises Hobin to go after them and not disappoint his fans.

Hobin follows the couple to a karaoke place and demands his phone back. He notices the man is using his right hand to hold the mic, and figures it must be his dominant one. Hobin positions himself to the left and when the man swings, he leaps into the hit to take it before it reaches full force. His opponent continues to try and hit him, but he is an amateur, and swings his fist too far backwards. As Hobin tries to catch his hits before they become dangerous, the video looks as though he is weaving like a boxer. His fans are impressed, and Hobin loses the fear of getting hit in a fight.

Snapper and the robber's girlfriend are vibing while Hobin is being beat. He doesn't have high hopes for this fight, but one of the streamers points out that the robber's hands were damaged due to the fight. He didn't notice because of the adrenaline, but once it wore off he began reeling in pain. Hobin was also bruised up, but he got his phone back.

The two of them go to the convenience store to exchange the money they earned, roughly 2 million won. Snapper buys an expensive outfit, and encourages Hobin to do the same. Hobin begins livestreaming as he is waiting for Bomi, and some streamers begin calling him greedy for wearing his designer clothes. Hobin begins to realize the negatives of becoming famous. Rumi also tries to reel him into her stream, but he ends of escaping.

Later, he sees a fan asking about another streamer on the street, a handsome man. He is asking girls to be in his video for looking for a girlfriend, and comes across. Bomi. She tells him that she's only there to meet Hobin, and his fans are becoming interested in the stream.

Hobin admits to himself that he was jealous of the popular kids because he wasn't special in any means, with average grades, low income, etc. He thinks to himself that he wishes he were like Munseong, who is at the top of the social ladder.

Hobin meets Bomi at the park, and people stare at them because of Bomi's beauty. When their hands accidentally brush, Hobin zones out for a moment and fantasizes about life with Bomi in the future.

By the time he comes back to reality, they are at the cafe. Hobin makes an excuse, saying that he was a quiet type, and Bomi becomes somewhat disappointed. When Hobin overhears people saying that Bomi was out of his league, he out loud insists that they are not a couple, and Bomi becomes even more disappointed. They order one strawberry Danish, and Bomi tries to make conversation as they sit down at the table. However, Hobin gives her vague, one-word responses, making her think he is uninterested. As she is about to leave because he doesn't seem to want to talk to her, he admits that he was just nervous because he never experienced this before, and that she was pretty. She smiles at him when she hears that.

They walk outside, and Bomi answers a call. After that, she tells him she was calling her childhood friend, asking Hobin if he knew Munseong. Hobin is shocked, and his fantasy about life with Bomi is ruined because Munseong is in the picture. He lies and says he was friends with Munseong. At that moment, Munseong appears.

Munseong tells Bomi that he is friends with Hobin, and the two are in the same class. Hobin feels really happy to hear this, but also feels insecure. He is convinced that Munseong is a better match for Bomi than himself, and decides to head home saying he has an ingrown toenail. Snapper corners him as he attempts to flee, and gives him a pep talk. He tells Hobin that love is a competition, and right now he is close to winning Bomi's heart. Really, he wants to capture Hobin's confession to Bomi via livestream.

When Hobin returns to Bomi, Munseong leaves, saying he has to prepare for a match. Hobin realizes that Munseong is not dating Bomi; the two are simply friends. He is emboldened by this discovery and decides to ask Bomi out. He pulls Snapper out from behind a bush and asks why he is eavesdropping, but he sees Snapper has been beaten. Pakgo beat him, and is coming to beat Hobin as well. He pulls Bomi's hair when she yells at him, and Hobin tries to keep his cool as he challenges Pakgo to a fight.

Hobin starts the fight with his signature technique: getting hit first. However, Pakgo saw it coming and decided to uppercut him instead. Hobin remembers the first video of the channel, and how it warned that this move could be easily countered; however, he hadn't watched the other videos. Now that he was exposed, he is easily beaten by Pakgo. But what is hurting him the most is that Bomi is forced to watch.

Hobin tries to apologize to Pakgo, but Pakgo laughs and says he is being livestreamed already by Snapper. Bomi slaps Pakgo, and he grabs her in order to beat her. Hobin begins taking off his pants, saying he will earn views for Pakgo if he lets go of Bomi. He wants to further take off his boxers to demonitize his channel, but Munseong grabs Hobin by the boxers and tells him he doesn't need to go that far. He had been watching Pakgo's stream and ran there to make it in time. Munseong destroys all of them and tells Bomi to leave Hobin alone: the worst she can do is stay and make him feel worse.

Since that day, Hobin disappeared from school. He stayed at home to work out and become strong enough to take revenge on Pakgo.

Hobin Yoo begins training seriously under the chicken master. While he's absent, Pakgo begins picking on Snapper. He is even worse to Snapper than Hobin because he's disgusted at his snake-like behavior. Pakgo's subscribers are only growing the worse that he becomes, and he asks Snapper to bring Hobin to school so he can shoot a video.

Snapper goes to Hobin's mother to ask her where to find Hobin. She gives him the address, and tells him she is happy that Snapper came to visit. Hobin spoke highly about his first friend to his mother, and she thanks him for helping Hobin and being a good friend. Snapper feels immensely guilty, and during the livestream he tells Hobin Yoo to not come to school, because if he does then Pakgo will get 500,000 won from his subscribers. Pakgo begins beating Snapper and warns Hobin to come to school or else he will continue beating him. Hobin enters the classroom and hands his phone to Snapper, telling him to begin streaming his next video: "How to win a fight against an amateur fighter."

Hobin recalls the chicken master telling him that his old technique could be easily countered by an uppercut. He began watching the other videos in hopes of learning a few tips, and the master told him these: to gain weight, have a strong will and build stamina. Hobin began drinking nutrient smoothies, working out and swimming at the public pool. He also began practicing the low kick, an MMA style move that takes months to master.

When he hits Pakho, he misses and hits the calf. Pakgo makes fun of him for missing, but Munseong notes that the calf kick is a newer version of the low kick. One of Hobin's subscribers, a user called Ding, notes that the calf kick is very powerful in delivering bursts of damage. Since Hobin keeps repeating his move, Pakgo realizes he doesn't have much else left. He starts chasing Hobin around the room, and he keeps calf kicking him to keep the gap between them. When Pakgo catches up to him, Hobin hits him with a calf kick and then an overhand hook.

Hobin reminisces on his past of being timid, and has come to the conclusion that Pakgo is an asshole, and doesn't deserve to be feared. Snapper rises to defend him from Pakgo's goons, but they are intimidated by Munseong. Munseong tells Hobin not to cry since he was being cool, and Hobin cheers to his followers to like and subscribe to his channel.

Since they hit 150,000 subscribers, Snapper suggests to Hobin that they clean up their channel by hiring an editor. They livestream their posting for an editor, and one of their frequent commenters, an old man named Ding offers to edit their videos. His editing style looks a bit old fashioned, but they agree to give him an interview. When Ding arrives to their class, they find that Ding is actually a girl, and one who looks their age.

VS Taehun Seong[]

Gaeul is known in her year for being one of the cutest girls, but she is unpopular due because of how she speaks like an old man. Snapper mocks her for this, but finds himself having a crush on Gaeul. She shows him and Hobin a video she edited, even incorporating user comments. Hobin is impressed and Snapper is already sold, so she ends up joining the team. He asks why she wanted to work with him, and Gaeul dodges the question, saying she is happy to join their team.

Bomi is watching Hobin's videos and feeling sad that he won't contact her. As she is walking home, she witnesses the aftermath of a fight between Taehun Seong and some gang members. Taehun is a taekwondo practicer who used to be professional, but he quit. He is highly feared in the area, and a very scary bully: the perfect person for Hobin to fight, in Snapper's opinion.

A V-Hit subscriber uploads a video of a bully from his school in Gangbuk, a kid called Taehun Seong. Taehun used to be a Taekwondo student before he quit professional sports. He takes pleasure in stealing from others, and if they refuse to give him their things, he beats their friends until they submit to him. Everyone is scared of Taehun, and V-Hit's subscribers ask him to expose this bully and take him down. Hobin refuses to fight him though, because he is too strong, although Gaeul urges him to do so.

Hobin ends up sending Snapper to collect information on Taehun Seong. He learns that although taekwondo has a stigma for being unusable in combat, Taehun is a professional fighter. Moreover, he is a sadist, and enjoys crushing people's morale even after they've surrendered. After he witnesses a brutal beatdown, Snapper prepares to leave, but Taehun stops him and tells him to call his friends.

Hobin, Gaeul, and Snapper are held hostage as Taehun interrogates them, eventually asking Hobin for his Newtube account. When he hesitates to answer, Taehun hits Snapper with a roundhouse kick and asks if Hobin would happen to have 500 won. Hobin sees the beginning of Taehun's sadistic pattern in action.

Hobin agrees to give Taehun Seong his NewTube account, and he and Gaeul take Snapper to the hospital. Snapper is disappointed in his friend for giving up so easily, but Hobin thought it was natural to not want to get hurt. His lack of pride is contrasted with his guilt for Snapper's feelings, as he realizes he must feel terrible being humiliated in front of the girl he likes.

Hobin returns to the arcade to play against Taehun. He wins the battle, and makes a comment that Taekwondo is easy to beat. Taehun is enraged, and Hobin tells him that the deal is off: If Taehun wants the account, he will have to beat him in a month's time. Taehun asks what Hobin will do if he takes his account now, and Hobin asks if Taehun is scared of losing. He smashes the arcade game and tells Hobin to arrange the time and place.

The Chicken Head says that there is no way to win against a professional in a martial arts tournament, but that it was possible outside of a ring. Against a taekwondo fighter, Chicken Head says that he has to make sure the opponent can't use any kicks. So then, a slippery surface would deter them from being at their full potential.

Hobin proceeds to practice his techniques, and learns a tackle. Using the resistance of water, he practices how to tackle. One day, Snapper goes to visit Hobin while streaming, and finds him hanging from the inside of his wardrobe. He explains his practicing techniques to them, including building up strength to withstand a kick.

On the day of the fight when it is supposed to rain, the forecast changes and it is bright and sunny, leading to the ruin of Hobin's plan. Hobin runs away from his livestream, and people think that he chickened out, but he instead goes to meet Taehun directly, spraying hose water in his face.

Taehun hits Hobin in the face and asks if he really thought he wouldn't use hands in a street fight. Hobin tells his viewers that even though he wants to pass out, he hasn't hit the three minute mark yet. He bought water shoes so he wouldn't slip, although Taehun still has that disadvantage. However, Taehun is fast and still finds time to reach Hobin and land punches. His footwork as a taekwondo athelete helps him manuever the wet terrain easier. Hobin keeps hitting Taehun with a calf kick before switching and tackling Taehun to the ground.

Once on the ground he tries to do a gi choke, but Taehun isn't being choked. In Hobin's haste he failed to maintain the correct choking position. Taehun allowed himself to be choked so he could steal Hobin's water shoe and perform his kicks.

Munseong is watching Hobin's fight and he asks if Bomi wants to see. Bomi is still angry at Hobin for ignoring her, but when she hears about his fight she becomes interested. When Hobin fails the manuever Munseong shuts off the stream and says the best thing she can do is not watch Hobin's defeat. Hobin wants to give up but the smell of money pushes him forward. Taehun's kicks however knock the spirit out of him. Hobin's mind goes blank as he is being kicked from all angles with an immense amount of force.

Hobin is knocked down with a back kick, and Taehun decides that the match is over since he is unresponsive. He turns to Jihyeok but Hobin tells him that he hasn't quit yet, and his streamers should keep watching. With Hobin backed into the stall, Taehun does a back kick. Hobin swings above him and lands on Taehun, knocking him to the ground again. This time he performs a perfect baseball choke.

Taehun is shocked that he is losing to Hobin, and he recalls that day that he lost to Munseong in an MMA match before. He tries to tap out but Hobin does not let go until Taehun is knocked out. As Taehun is unconscious he dreams about his loss, and how the judges said taekwondo is destined to lose in ground combat. Taehun wakes up to find Hobin and Jihyeok massaging his legs. He asks Hobin if he wants to die, but Hobin wanted to wake Taehun to return his watch to him. As he leaves, Hobin does an ad for a body spray, and his fans are irritated and impressed at how much the channel has grown. Gaeul edits the video and it becomes a hit.

Hobin tells Jihyeok that despite Taehun's sadism, he doesn't think he is entirely bad. Taehun seemed to care much about his watch, and was emotionally distraught when Hobin gave it back. Hobin changes his mind about Taehun wwhen he learns that Taehun became viral after an image of his unconscious body was spread online, and he attracted many fangirls.

Bomi is watching Hobin's stream when she is approached by a large man asking for her number. She refuses and he takes his order and leaves, but she is uncomfortable since it has been several times that he's asked. At a meat warehouse a few men are struggling to lift some items that the man lifts all by himself. He watches Hobin's stream and wonders if he beats up Hobin that his stream might blow up.

VS Mangi Hwang[]

Gaeul is studying how to not sound like an old man when a snake pops in front of her desk. Her classmates are pranking her and film her reaction. Gaeul yells at them to delete it and tries to punch one of them but he uses "how to get hit without being hurt." Gaeul's female classmate grabs her by the collar and says she needs to stop acting cute by pretending to have an accent. Jihyeok tries to save her but he sucks at fighting. When one of them raises a hand to Gaeul, Hobin grabs his arm. The kids mock Hobin and are going to beat him when Munseong appears from behind and they are intimidated.

Hobin considers getting Munseong to fight for them, but Gaeul says he isn't that kind of person to get into pointless battles. She tells them she is frustrated since her classmates have a large following for their prank videos despite being terrible people. Jihyeok is angry at Hobin for not standing up for Gaeul, but Hobin says that he would take revenge on them for not respecting Samdak's teachings. Gaeul is surprised and flushed. At home she recalls Hobin standing up for her and is giddy.

Hobin remembers Munseong telling him to get in touch with Bomi, since it isn't fair of him to ignore her. Hobin decides to visit her at Lotdonalds where she worked and goes to see her. The creepy guy comes in and leaves, and Bomi is worried before she sees Hobin arrive. Bomi angrily gives Hobin his orders, which confuses him. When she sees the script written on his hand she chuckles, and Hobin tries to get her attention. Bomi mentions that Hobin hired a female editor, and asks if he thinks she is pretty. Gaeul enters the store and asks Hobin if he is going to answer the question.

Bomi wonders why this pretty girl would be with Hobin. Gaeul gives Bomi a box of ginseng to pacify Bomi. She asks Hobin if he will deny wanting to get close to Bomi. When she sees the look on his face, Gaeul tells Bomi that she and Hobin are work partners only and leves with the excuse of an ingrown toenail. Walking home she thinks about Hobin’s response to her question. Hobin told her that every guy in the school thinks she’s pretty, which frustrates Gaeul.

Hobin, Gaeul and Jiksae are watching Comedy Crew’s videos and they are impressed and jealous of their success. Jiksae explains that their prank videos are actually very hard to make and coordinate since they can go wrong very easily. Comedy Crew comes from behind and ridicules them before leaving. Hobin gets a message from Bomi and rushes to the hospital to see her.

Bomi is in the hospital after twisting her ankle. She was texting Hobin when a snake popped out of nowhere, making her turn and fall on her leg. Comedy Crew revealed to her that it was a prank and asked her to be in a video. Before she could respond, a car nearly missed her. Bomi was shaken and afraid but Comedy Crew was happy to have gotten the footage, only concerned about the views.

Bomi is sharing this with Munseong when Hobin arrives at her hospital room. He texts Bomi that he is sorry he couldn’t be there first, and that he can’t say such things in front of Munseong. Hobin, Gaeul and Jiksae go to call out Comedy Crew for their next video.

Hobin watches Samdak’s video on fighting against multiple opponents but decides against it. He, Gaeul and Jiksae decide to follow the crew, who are gloating about their views. Jiksae tells them that he’s figured out something about the Comedy Crew channel. Their videos are very fishy, and he explains that some of them might be pranked. Hobin says this isn’t strong enough to get them canceled. Rumi comes in and asks if Hobin would like to film a scripted video with her but Hobin rejects it, saying he never fakes his content.

Rumi is filming with the scripted video with the Comedy Crew instead: the video about spilling coffee on her shirt. They thank Rumi for her shamelessness, but she says that’s just the Newtube game. The Comedy Crew says they can shoot their next video on exposing Hobin. They will edit the videos to look fake and cause doubt among his sbuscribers. Rumi says she wants out but the Comedy Crew say they already filmed her confession, and they can use it against her. Rumi however also filmed them with Hobin’s phone. She hands the phone to Jiksae, and Hobin says he will be filming how to win a fight against multiple opponents.

In order of appearance: Samdak says there is no way to win against multiple opponents. However, what Hobin can do is bluff against them. He wore high heels and a padded jacket, as well as strong body language. When he is walking to them he trips and his shoe falls off, revealing the bluff. The Comedy Crew lose their fear of Hobin and start laughing at his attempts.

One of them starts punching Hobin’s shoulder but it is spongy from the padding. Hobin hits him with a calf kick but is attacked from behind. Hobin starts analyzing why the attack didn’t work. He runs into a narrow alley so they can’t gang up on them, and he hits them with a calf kick. The two guys are stunned by the pain, and their leader is stunned by Hobin’s intimidation. Gaeul ends the fight by grabbing the girl and holding her hostage. Hobin feels the adrenaline of the fight and finds that he is eager for more.

Comedy Crew were successfully called out, and had to end their Newtube career for faking videos. Hobin’s channel reached 210k subscribers, and Gaeul stopped being bullied for a while.

While Bomi is walking home she texts Hobin. He is worried for Bomi but she says she will be fine. Mangi follows Bomi from her workplace and he tries to grab her face but Munseong punches him. Munseong grabs Mangi’s chest and reads aloud the skill of making an opponent lose their cool. Then he says he will show him how a professional fighter wins against a traditional Korean wrestler.

Munseong wraps his legs around Mangi’s arm and places him in a hold. He tells Mangi to tap out but Mangi lifts him and tries to grab him. Munseong slips out and takes off his jacket. Mangi pushes Bomi away and rushes at Munseong but he sees Hobin running at him already. Hobin saw Bomi being pushed and ran without thinking, but Mangi just grabs him and slams him on the ground.

Mangi is a famous ssisierum wrestler since the age of 18. He loved women, but he was a creep and unattractive so nobody actually wanted to date him. He was jealous of handsome guys and would pick fights with them a lot. Hobin hides in a closet while Gaeul and Jiksae look at Mangi’s history. Then Gaeul sees that Mangi posted a video exposing his victory over Hobin, and his subscribers demanding an explanation.

Jiksae posts an explanation video diverting the attention from Hobin. As the situation dies down, Hobin wonders about Bomi’s safety and becomes concerned. He calls Jiksae to say that he is on his way to fight Mangi. He gets to the meat market and yells at Mangi before grabbing his chest and announcing his next video.

Hobin’s friends and viewers are convinced that he can’t win. Even Samdak says that an amateur can’t win against a traditional wrestler, telling his viewers not to attempt it. However Hobin still decides to go up against Mangi. He hits him with a calf kick but it does nothing. Hobin begins running backwards, but Mangi is very fast as well and watches up to him. Hobin sticks his fist out for a punch but Mangi isn’t fazed.

Mangi grabs Hobin by the wrists and lifts him up, and Hobin breaks free of the grasp. He tries to do a gi choke but Mangi’s neck is thick and hard to wrap around. Mangi says not to touch his hair so Hobin tries to grab it but gets flipped on his back. As his fans mourn him, Mangi notices he ripped out Hobin’s spine protector. As Mangi rushes at Hobin, he hits him with a back kick.

Hobin recalls going to Taehun before making the call out video on Mangi. He wanted to learn a back kick, which Taehun uses on Hobin before telling him that he will die. Hobin told Taehun that he really wants to learn it because taekwondo is the best martial art out there. Taehun recalls his father’s struggling taekwondo business that had to rely on teaching after school math in order to make income. His younger self swore to prove to the world that taekwondo was the best. Upon hearing these words, Taehun decides to take on Hobin as a student. He made him run backwards in preparation for the back kick, taekwondo’s most iconic move.

Hobin kicked Mangi in the solar plexus, but he missed and his his groin. Mangi in his rage lifted Hobin by the head to smash him into the ground. Hobin grabbed his hair at the last minute and Mangi’s wig fell off, stunning everyone in the stream.

Hobin and Mangi spoke later over some sodas. Mangi tells Hobin that he has been balding ever since he was 16. He took on ssireum so he could be popular with the girls, but he realized that girls only like the lighter weight classes, and instead think of him as scary and fat. Mangi takes pills for his hair loss but can only bite off a portion since they’re so expensive. Hobin tells Mangi that he can’t be creepy anymore towards Bomi, but Mangi explains that he was only trying to protect her from Munseong. He got his advice from pick up artists, which he paid for with his match winnings. Mangi started a Newtube channel in hopes of impressing people and finding a girlfriend, but with his hair loss being exposed he fears his channel is over. However Hobin has been streaming his chat with Mangi, and he actually has a lot of fans sympathizing with his plight. Gaeul edited the video and it got 3M views.

Hobin visits the hospital giddy over the news. Hobin’s mother’s nurse pulls him aside to say they have found a donor for his mother’s surgery, and it will cost 20 million won. Hobin is confident they can pay with the rate they are going, but he learns from Jiksae and Gaeul that their channel has been demonetized.

VS Hyeonsu Lee[]

Every single video on Hobin’s channel was flagged, but they are not sure why. Gaeul edited the videos for gore and profanity, so it couldn’t be those reasons. She gives Hobin a drink for indigestion. Jiksae is convinced they are being targeted somehow, and he promises Hobin they will get to the bottom of this. Hobin rushes out of the hospital in grief.

Hobin starts collabing with Rumi in order to make money. She does a challenge to spend 20 million won, and Hobin is bitter thinking about his mother’s surgery costs. Meanwhile Jihyeok is searching for evidence and finds someone mention a guy called Chorongi.

Rumi and Hobin do a mukbang video together at her home. Rumi starts taking off her shirt and Hobin panics but she says she is only changing to do another video, so her viewers don’t know it was shot in the same day. Rumi also intends to sell the expensive clothes since she can find them cheaper elsewhere. In reality, Rumi is just as poor as Hobin, but she puts up a persona for her Newtube since her fans like making fun of her for being spoiled. Hobin gives Rumi the drink Gaeul gives him, and she laughs and pulls him closer.

She does another video where Hobin has to do her hair, but he burns it with the straightener. Rumi reveals that it was actually a video about cheering up her friend who is down. She mentions Hobin’s issue to her fans, and asks Hobin to collab for her from now on since she needs content and he needs money. Jiksae calls Hobin on the phone to say he knows why they are being demonetized.

Jiksae meets with Chorongi, a mukbanger who used to have 700k subscribers. Chorongi was known for his bug mukbangs although he only used them for attention, and they were a minority of their things. Chorongi tells Jiksae that his channel was flagged for copyright infringement. He says that they are most likely targeted by a group, and they will soon be forced to quit Newtube. Hobin leaves Rumi’s house and Rumi decides she will use Hobin until his channel goes under, but she is wondering why he is so nice to her.

Gaeul asks her dad for some money and he tells her to sell her stuff if she needs it that badly. She decides to tell her laptops. Bomi tells her boss that she is quitting and collecting her severance pay, although she isn’t qualified for it yet. She visits Hobin’s mother and cuts her an apple. One of the nurses mentions Bomi’s father and she silences her before rushing out of the room. Hobin’s mother picks up the phone and is shocked.

When Hobin comes into the hospital, his mother asks what he does online. Hobin sees someone called Viral Hook making similar vidoes to his own channel, Viral Hit. Chorongi explains that this is the second step of a channel’s downfall: the making of a copycat channel. Elsewhere, Viral Hook beats up some gangsters and pisses on them while making a phone call to his boss.

Viral Hook has copied everything that made Viral Hit popular. They post videos of nerds fighting bullies and using unique techniques. He uploads more times a week so people are interested. And his fanbase is similar to Hobins, so they don’t mind subscribing to both channels. Since VHit’s channel is demonetized however they don’t appear on the search anymore, so Viral Hook will only gain more views as their views stagnate.

Gaeul tells Hobin that she can’t edit the videos to gain more traction since she got scammed out of her laptop. Hobin says that it isn’t his problem and walks away while Jiksae is angry at him for being heartless. As he is laying down on a bench, Bomi sits next to him and tells him about her plan to pay for his mom’s surgery, but Hobin tells her that she isn’t qualified for pay and walks away from her. Meanwhile, Viral Hook keeps copying his videos. Rumi tries to contact Hobin as well but he is ignoring everyone around him.

Hohyeong Baek talks to Jiksae about her own channel that got copyrighted after 1M views. A copycat took over and she had a mental breakdown over the downfall of her channel. Then the copycat approached and offered her a lot of money for the ruined channel. At this point, Hobin is approached by Viral Hook who offers 30M won for the channel.

Hobin attacks Viral Hook but he is hit with a sucker punch. He tries to tackle but Viral Hook blocks the tackle. He tells Hobin that his channel is practically done for and he should just sell up while he has the chance. He grabs Hobin by the hair and punches him, repeating his query until Hobin submits. He signs the down payment of the sale and Viral Hook says he will contact him for the rest of the contract.

14 days before the contract, Hobin meets with Jiksae, bloodied and bruised from the fight. Jiksae is angry at Hobin for selling the channel until Hobin explains that he was forced to be a gangster. He sees Hobin’s fear and stops yelling at him. Then Jiksae shows Hobin something on his phone he discovered recently.

Seven days before the contract, Hobin gifts Gaeul a new computer. She is annoyed at his sudden generosity but Hobin just leaves. The day of the contract Hobin meets with Bomi and apologizes for being rude to her. Then he and Jiksae go to Viral Hook for the finalizing of the contract.

Hobin tells Viral Hook that he won’t sign the contract. Since he was forced to sign it, it will not stand in court. Recently Jiksae showed Hobin a feature on Newtube called Ultra Chat, which allows fans to donate to a channel. With these donations, Hobin tells Viral Hook he will expose him, and he starts doing aerobics.

Some spectators see the fight between VHit and VHook and they decide to watch. Hobin is traumatized but gets over it when he hears the sound of donations. Hobin hits him with a calf kick but Viral Hook blocks it. The stream is irritated with Hobin because they think he is bullying Viral Hook. When Viral Hook sees the support he decides to fight back. He punches Hobin in the solar plexus and pinches a nerve, while doing other incorrectly named moves.

Hobin pushes Viral Hook against the chain linked fence. Jiksae tells him not to fight him anymore or he will lose support, but Hobin had a plan. He rips off Viral Hook’s shirt and reveals his muscles and tattoos. Hobin exposes Viral Hook for forcing him to sell his channel, and his fans wonder if he is a gangster.

In reality, Viral Hook’s name is Hyeonsu Lee. He was forced to transfer from his school for assaulting his teacher, who refused to give him his phone. His teacher suffered orbital, rib and spinal fractures. Hyeonsu beat up his teachers until the police came, and he showed no remorse for his actions.

Hyeonsu drops that act and beats up the spectators, who were harassing him a bit earlier. Hobin tells his viewers that he will be showing them how to beat a kickboxer.Jiksae was the one who dug up Hyeonsu’s past. When Hyeonsu Lee was younger he was trying to build his kickboxing career. He placed first in the national amateur competition with only three years of experience. To prepare for this, Hobin watched Samdak’s videos and also tried to get help from Munseong at his gym.

Hobin is getting hit by all sides from Hyeonsu. His calf kicks are blocked and his method of not getting hurt is countered by an uppercut. Hobin’s tackle is prevented by the knee strike, and Hyeonsu dodges his back kick by jumping backwards. Munseong gave him a tip on how to defeat a kickboxer, but Hobin isn’t skilled enough to pull it off. He resorts to using the aerobics moves he learned from the weight loss videos he and Gaeul were watching earlier. Samdak explained that the aerobics moves are very similar to the muay thai guard, so it is easier to dodge the moves.

With Hyeonsu thoroughly confused, Hobin tries to tackle him. Hyeonsu grabs Hobin and strikes him with his knee. He tries to hit him in the face but Taehun kicks him in the head, releasing his grasp. Taehun asks Hobin why he learned MMA when he said taekwondo was the best. Hyeonsu asks if Taehun is mad at what happened to his boyfriend, and Taehun asks if he has 500 won.

Taehun is going to fight Hyeonsu but Hobin stops him, saying that is not what his channel is about. He is going to call out bullies with his own strength, not rely on others. Taehun asks if Hobin has any sort of plan, but Hobin explains he was only being beat to complete a donation challenge.

Munseong told Hobin that he should have some sort of backup plan. His aerobics gave him the advantage once, but now Hyeonsu won’t let him close the distance. Hobin keeps rushing at Hyeonsu despite being hit and Hyeonsu backing away. He finally backs Hyeonsu onto the chain link fence. Hyeonsu asks Jiksae if this is allowed, but Jiksae tells him that it’s a fight and not a match with rules.

Hyeonsu grabs Hobin with a thai clinch and tries to do a knee strike, but Hobin hits him with his elbow. He grabbed Hyeonsu’s hands so he can’t move, and is striking him in the face repeatedly with his elbows, a move from muay thai.

Hobin keeps hitting Hyeonsu until he passes out. Hyeonsu recalls his boss telling him to take Hobin’s channel before he falls. Hobin’s channel made 5.8M won from the ultra chat, although most of the donations came from Taehun’s fans. He decides to ban them all from his stream.

Viral Hook’s fans are enraged at his duplicity. Many Newtubers share their support of Hobin. during the situation, and Viral Hook’s career comes to a halt. Rumi starts asking Hobin for more collab ideas which annoys Gaeul. She learns that Hobin gave Rumi the drink for indigestion, and she rages on a mountain hike with her father.

Hobin is finally able to pay for his mother’s surgery. As he is walking home with Bomi he asks her if he has seen her around before. Bomi says that she’s seen him in his uniform before, but she doesn’t expand on it.

Jiksae shared with the team that he found out why they were demonetized. Apparently their channel was flagged for copyright infringement. There was a blog post made years ago with the same content as Viral Hit. However, the blog post was bought recently, and while the content can be changed, the date cannot be. It is likely that whoever bought the blog post changed the content to take down Hobin’s channel. With Chorongi and Hohyeong’s testimony, it makes it more believable that someone was targeting their channel.

Seongjun Baek, the head of a cooking channel, dumps boiling oil on Hyeonsu for failing to retrieve the channel. He is the head of the XJ Company, a group of popular Newtubers. He calls the rest of the members to let them know that he is interested in Viral Hit’s channel, and Hobin Yoo.

VS Wangguk Han[]

Hobin received a voucher to Omakase June, an expensive restaurant. Jiksae explains that he can invite two people to the dinner, and that one of his fans likely sent it to him. Rumi and Gaeul are fighting for the invitation but Hobin rejects them. He vents to Bomi about it, who thinks that he will invite her. Hobin ends up inviting Jiksae to the event as he initially wanted, angering all the girls.

Seongjun comes out and welcomes Hobin and Jiksae to his restaraunt, saying he is a big fan of them. He serves them maguro sushi and asks if Hobin would like to join his company, XJ. Their goal is to self promote each other’s channels and generate profit for everyone in the group. And if one member is targeted, the others will defend them. Seongjun says that Hobin reminds him of himself since he also grew up poor, and has many ambitions. The XJ Company is currently reaching out to many fellow Newtubers like Taehun, Mangi and Rumi. Seongjun offers 100M won for Hobin’s induction, but Hyeonsu Lee walks into the establishment carrying a knife.

Wangguk gets off the phone with Seongjun and Gyeoul asks what it was about. He doesn’t tell her at first, and she is annoyed but then she gets excited when he says it is Viral Hit. Gyeoul asks for an expensive dress and Wangguk refuses until he sees the blank look on her face and gives in. Gyeoul thanks him and he says she can befriend Hobin as long as he doesn’t cross the line.

Hyeonsu tells Seongjun he is a snake for calling VHit after Hyeonsu worked like a dog for him. Seongjun asks Hyeonsu why he is trembling so much. He tells Hyeonsu that he doesn’t forgive people who try to stab him, so if he doesn’t kill him now then he will be the one to die. Hyeonsu turns on Hobin and tries to stab him but Seongjun knocks the knife out of his hand and slams him to the floor. He tells Hobin to chat another time.

Hobin shares the story with his friends who are shocked. He tells his friends that they should consider joining the company as well since they got invitations. Gyeoul enters the building and introduces herself to Hobin. She asks if he can give her a piggyback ride. Hobin bends down so she can climb and he is slammed to the ground by Wangguk, who chastises him for being so forward with Gyeoul. Taehun dangles Gyeoul’s bag over her neck and asks Wangguk if he minds.

Hobin is confused why the guy would be mad at him for trying to please a fan. Mangi tries to punch Wangguk but he dodges it easily. Gyeoul is joyfully watching when Rumi takes a candid photo of her from an unflattering angle. She asks Gyeoul if she gets off on manipulating other people and watching them get hurt. Rumi tells Gyeoul that she can pretend to be whatever she likes, but deep down she can tell Gyeoul has no self respect.

Wangguk grabs Rumi by the shirt and asks what she said. Taehun kicks him in the face and says that Rumi said what had to be said. Wangguk tries to punch him again but Gyeoul says she is leaving, and he follows her. Gaeul and Jiksae applaud Rumi for being badass, and Hobin wonders why people keep picking on him.

Gyeoul and Wangguk are walking home at night. Wangguk asks Gyeoul if she is okay since she looks affected by what Rumi said. Gyeoul sees some men admiring her and asks if Wangguk will beat them up. When he refuses, she asks if they will give her a piggyback ride. Wangguk regretfully beats them up and carries Gyeoul home.

Rumi is studying english at home when she thinks about Gyeoul. She considers apologizing to Gyeoul since she seemed to have some really bad self esteem issues. Looking online, she sees something shocking.

Gyeoul happily types on her computer before streaming on her channel OnePunchTV. Hobin walks home in the rain and finds Rumi sitting outside, crying.

Gyeoul begins streaming on OnePunchTV about Rumi Yeo’s past. She accuses her of living with a boyfriend, working as an escort and selling videos of herself. Gyeoul couldn’t find any videos of Rumi so she had to make them up herself. She faked messages on various social media platforms and used them to lie about Rumi. Gyeoul invites kids from Rumi’s old school to confirm that Rumi used to be a poor girl who skipped class a lot and used expensive makeup. She asks if it is really unreasonable to think that Rumi sold herself to make money to fund her current lifestyle. However, none of this is true.

When Rumi goes to school, her classmates are disgusted by her actions. She gives them drinks and asks everyone to tune into her channel for her rebuttal. Rumi drafted a script for her response but she becomes emotional in between and starts crying. Her fans accuse her of faking her tears, and she realizes that no matter what she says, her image will forever be tainted by OnePunchTV’s accusations. Gyeoul watches Rumi’s stream and asks who is the one with no self respect now.

Wangguk is watching the stream when he gets a call from Seongjun telling him to fix the situation. Mangi walks over to Wangguk with a radio saying that he was wrong to mess with a man in love, and he must pay the consequences of it.

Mangi was harassed from a young age for being unattractive and flirtatious. He has always taken a stand against bullies, and feels more strongly now. Mangi tells Wangguk that he knows the video was made with fake evidence. He tells Wangguk to apologize for the lies, smash his computer and send a photograph of it. Wangguk tells Mangi to get lost. Mangi rushes at Wangguk but he is unprepared for Wangguk’s fast and powerful punches. He keeps hitting Mangi with jabs until Mangi falls down, stunned and in pain. Wangguk apologizes for slandering Rumi but refuses to do anything about it. Gaeul feeds Rumi rice but she refuses to eat because she is sad.

Gyeoul goes to a park at night and starts streaming. She says she feels sad that Rumi is getting so much hate, but her fans assure her that Rumi deserves it. She swings happily in the park and Hobin asks her if she is happy about what happened. He calls Gyeoul sick for manipulating her fans like this, and shows her the evidence that Mangi recorded from Wangguk secretly. Mangi gave Hobin the evidence because he did not want to reveal his feelings to Rumi, who did not like him back.

Gyeoul gets up from her chair and hits Hobin with several jabs, revealing her training as an infighter and a boxer. She puts up her hair and asks Hobin if he can beat her in a fight.

Gyeoul grabs Hobin’s arm and asks if he really thinks that evidence is strong enough. Mangi was the one who started the fight, and there is no evidence that she lied about anything. She says if Hobin really wants to stream it, she can pretend like she was hurt or threatened by him and her fans would immediately side with her. Hobin can’t fight her since she is a girl, and his channel is more controversial regardless. She tells Hobin that she had a hard time framing Rumi, so he can at least rest with that knowledge.

Seongjun is walking back to his restaurant in the rain when he sees Hobin on his doorstep. Hobin tells Seongjun that Rumi is in trouble, and as a fellow recruit he wants to ask for help. Seongjun says he can’t go against Gyeoul however since she is already an established member of the company. He asks if Hobin will choose a friend he will barely remember with a small channel, or 100M won and a place in one of the greatest Newtube companies.

Hobin and Jiksae go to Wangguk and introduce themselves as new recruits to the XJ Company. Wangguk apologizes for the earlier drama and suggests they talk it out with Gyeoul later. Hobin removes his jacket and says he was actually lying, and they are there to expose OnePunchTV.

Hobin explains that the blog that got him demonetized was also used to demonetize the other Newtubers Chorongi and Hohyeong, and likely others. They reached out to Hyeonsu Lee but he said that he had nothing to do with the blog. They found an old comment made by the person who bought the blog for that purpose, along with their phone number. Hobin calls the phone number mid-stream and Wangguk’s phone starts ringing. Hobin accuses Wangguk and Gyeoul of slandering people and he will settle it with a fight.

Gyeoul rushes out to fight Hobin but she is tripped by Gaeul. Gaeul says she is the person who first learned the techniques used by Hobin, and she will be her rival.

Hobin and Jiksae found Wangguk’s instagram account Kingdom03, but it was only filled with random scenery photos. There was a two year period that he didn’t post any pictures because he was sent to juvie for two years. In his time at juvie, Wangguk joined the Chungui boxing team (nicknamed CUD). The boxing team is notorious for being extremely violent and harsh, which may prove dangerous in the fight.

Gaeul grabs Gyeoul’s hair and demands that she apologize to Rumi for what she did. Gyeoul headbutts Gaeul and tries to punch her but Gaeul isn’t hurt. Gaeul deduces that Gyeoul is a boxer and specifically an infighter. Gyeoul punches Gaeul but she blocks every hit. She tries to hit her stomach but her hand becomes injured since Gaeul put a plate in there.

Gaeul puts Gyeoul in a flying armbar, a move that Logan Gracie was quite famous for. Logan taught this move to Munseong and Gaeul. Gaeul was not skilled enough to be a professional fighter but she was tenacious and learned the moves well. However Gyeoul can withstand the armbar due to her flexibility as a woman. She bites Gaeul’s leg and Gaeul releases her from the hold. Gyeoul then punches Gaeul with her brass knuckle rings. Gaeul tells her that she will regret turning this into a street fight.

Hobin trained against an in-fighter by walking on all fours, a technique called the bear crawl. Hobin tries to tackle Wangguk’s legs but he just dodges and punches him. Hobin realizes that Wangguk is not an infighter but an outfighter.

Wangguk was a fighter with 58/58 wins and 44 knockouts under his belt. His record disguised his real skills, and Hobin is now paying for it. When he tries to get close, Wangguk hits him with a counter. Jiksae asks why Wangguk is doing all of this for Gyeoul and he reveals that Gyeoul is his little sister, and he will do anything to protect her.

Taehun taught Hobin jabs and straights since Hobin wanted to learn how to counter boxing. He used those moves as a feint so he could use a single leg tackle. Wangguk however avoided the tackle. He tells Hobin that in juvie many guys used to tackle him so he learned how to avoid it through practice. Hobin holds his leg and elbow strikes his pressure point on the top of his foot.

Seongjun and 244 are watching the match in amusement. 244 asks Seongjun why he gave Hobin the information to call out OnePunchTV, and Seongjun says he wanted to choose between the better of the two, but he thinks Wangguk might end up winning.

Wangguk pushes past the pain and keeps hitting Hobin. Hobin uses various striking moves against him while attempting a tackle, but Wangguk keeps avoiding the tackle and knocking him down. As Wangguk walks away Hobin yells at him to apologize to Rumi. He gets up at the sound of donations and gets into a tackling position once more, confusing Jiksae and his fans. Logan tells Munseong that it appears like Hobin has a finishing move in mind. Hobin rushes at Wangguk and hits him with a flying knee strike, and finishes with a flying knee strike counter.

Wangguk is woken by the boys massaging his legs. Hobin pretends to call someone for help but Wangguk merely thanks him and walks away. They made 8.2M won from this video and 5.8M views. They also reached 500K subscribers. Rumi has since started incorporating crying into her videos.

OnePunchTV’s videos were taken down by the XJ Company in order to avoid controversy. Gyeoul is angry since she wanted to make a comeback by feigning a change in character. Gyeoul rushes home and is hit with trash by some Newtubers as a challenge. She realizes the hatred that everyone has for her and panics, fleeing the scene.

Hobin has decided to hold off on joining the XJ Company since he is disappointed in their behavior regarding Rumi’s slander. Jihyeok finds Gyeoul streaming from her channel again on Mapo Bridge, a popular place for suicide. She is trying to gain sympathy from her fans but she sees someone telling her to kill herself on chat. She tries to reason with them but they keep repeating the same messages over and over again. Rumi and Wangguk race towards Mapo Bridge and Gyeoul decides to jump. The stream is ended for graphic content and Seongjun smiles now that Gyeoul is gone.

Wangguk wants to jump into the river and save her but Hobin and Jiksae hold him back. Gyeoul comes out of the water and swims to shore, somehow surviving the fall. Rumi cries over not being able to film a rescue, but everyone is happy that nothing terrible happened. Gyeoul wants to fight them but sees Gaeul watching her and decides to go home. As Wangguk carries her, he tells her that he won’t be fighting people needlessly on her behalf anymore. Later, Wangguk confronts Seongjun in front of his restaurant.

Hobin, Gaeul and Jiksae go to the KStar event, a gathering of streamers from all sorts of platforms. He came on behalf of Seongjun but he is being bombarded by his fans online and in person. Jiksae left to stream something elsewhere. Gaeul pushes past the fans and drags him away, and Seongjun wonders what they will be streaming later.

Gaeul and Hobin are eating ice cream when she notices it looks like a date. Hobin wipes some ice cream on her face and she is embarrassed, but he doesn’t know why. He grabs her hand and runs with her. When Hobin sees Seongjun he tells Gaeul that he knows the perfect place to stream.

Seongjun accepts the streamer of the year award and starts giving his appreciation speech. He shares his hobby of watching other streamers, particularly Viral Hit. Hobin is taken onto the stream alongside him. He asks Seongjun if he can stream some content he was planning and Seongjun accepts, and calls out Seongjun Baek on live TV. Wangguk is shocked that Hobin would call him out, and so is everyone else. Seongjun asks Hobin what he is doing, and Hobin says he wonders if he can take Seongjun’s subscribers as well as his own.

When Wangguk was being abused in prison, he met Seongjun. Seongjun taught him how to survive and suggested the call out video format. Wangguk handed Hobin a USB with evidence of Seongjun’s past that he had planned for a video of his own someday. He had wanted to give Hobin some evidence after being abandoned by Seongjun, but Hobin refused since he had no reason to call out Seongjun. Seeing Hobin change his mind made Wangguk smile.

Hobin accuses Seongjun of purchasing the blog and using it to target channels like his own, but Seongjun laughs and plays the accusations off as a joke. His fans believe him and the people on the show chastise and ridicule Hobin for making an unfunny joke. Hobin tries to leave the meeting but Seongjun grabs his arm and says they have to talk.

Seongjun takes the three of them to his restaurant where he asks Hobin what he was thinking. He admits to being behind the attacks, and says he was going to reveal it once Hobin had joined the team. Seongjun asks Hobin if he is willing to make an enemy out of him and Hobin reconsiders. Hobin, Gaeul and Jiksae apologize and try to leave but they are blocked in by the XJ Company members. Seongjun says now that he knows Hobin’s intentions he can’t be comfortable with him, and he must delete his channel in front of him.

Hobin calls someone but Yeonwoo Ji confiscates his phone, asking who Master Taehun is. Taehun snatches the phone from Yeonwoo and Mangi squares up against Hyeoksu. Hobin says that he got the information from Seongjun himself and decided to make his own company: the Hobin Yoo Company.

Rumi comes in with her camera to stream the event. Hobin introduces his company members: Rumi, Mangi, Taehun, Gaeul and Jiksae. Upon seeing Rumi’s stream, Seongjun retreats with his company members and says they will talk another time.

Hobin’s friends are angry that he sprung this against them suddenly, but he tells them that poverty is always on his mind, and he really wants this Newtube career to be a success. Jiksae is the first to join the company, saying he will always work with Hobin. Gaeul joins on the condition of being the figurehead. Rumi joins the company after analyzing it, and Mangi joins because of his crush. Taehun refuses to join until Jiksae offers him something, and Hobin celebrates roping them all in.

Hobin tells Bomi about becoming a CEO but she is not impressed. She asks if he knows Yeonwoo Ji, one of the Newtubers from XJ. Yeonwoo is her classmate at her school. She runs away so Hobin doesn’t know where she lives.

As Hobin keeps walking, someone puts a bag over his head and drags him away. Thinking it is a prank, Hobin is calm until the bag is removed, and he sees he is in a creepy looking room. A shirtless sweaty man wearing a mask and in his boxers says he’s heard about Hobin’s techniques, and he wants to see them in person.

The kidnapper tries to talk to Hobin, but he only speaks English, and Hobin speaks Korean. Hobin suggests the papago app. The kidnapper tells Hobin that he is a big fan of his, and he wants to know where he learned his moves. Hobin lies about Samdak, and the kidnapper tells him that he’s disappointed in his lies. If Hobin were to tell the truth, he says he would have taught him another move. The app dies however, and he can’t say anything else so he lets him go.

Jihyeok later shows Hobin a video of Logan Gracie, a famous MMA athlete. Hobin says Logan kidnapped him, but Jihyeok tells Hobin that his story is ridiculous. The two of them are considering getting an office for their company when Hobin gets a call from Bomi and rushes away. Seongjun called the XJ Company members to have a meeting about what to do with the Hobin Yoo Company, but Yeonwoo isn’t present. Instead, he is volunteering at the medical club along with Bomi.

Hobin takes his team out for a day at the beach, but really it is to spy on Bomi and Yeonwoo, who are volunteering at a nearby hospital. Taehun disappears at night to stream the intro to his video, which he is embarrassed about. He overhears someone laughing and sees Yeonwoo Ji taking out the trash, so he attacks him.

VS 244[]

He lifts the knife to stab Jisu but it is kicked away by Hobin.

244 tells Hobin he is surprised that he hid his mother well, but he missed the chance to save Bomi Choi. Hobin tells Jinho that he is disappointed he is thinking of others at a time like this, and that he sent someone to take care of Bomi. Munseong appears in front of Bomi and closes the door on her, as gangsters approach her home. He calls Logan to say he will not be making the flight to America. Hobin turns the camera on Jiksae and announces his final video: How to Win Against a Wrestler.

244 feints a straight before going for a tackle. Hobin narrowly dodges and tells 244 that he is not fighting for any sort of ideal other than defeating evil. His coach once said that there is no way to win a wrestler, since the fight always ends with being crushed into the pavement. However, he could try damaging the wrestler until he gives up the fight. Hobin hits 244 with a liver kick and disorients him with hits from his fists and feet. 244 tosses his phone to distract Hobin and then catches him. Hobin's master told him that once he is caught, he will be disabled, except for one move he could try. Hobin dodges 244 and gets him into a ninja choke, reversing the fight.

Hobin holds onto 244 but 244 brushes him off. He lifts Hobin and slams him into the ground headfirst, saying he now knows why everyone lost to Hobin. Jiksae pleads for him to stop.

Hobin recalls Samdak asking him about a grappler's weakness. Hobin suggests strikes from a distance, but Samdak specifies the physical weakness is the traps: a group of muscles that move the shoulders, and are integral to that fighting form. Hobin bites into 244's upper trapezius in present time. 244 slams him into the ground and grabs a rock to smash his head in. Hobin grabs a phone on the ground to do the same. Samdak from a distance states that Hobin has never been in a real fight before. If he wants to win, he will have to fight dirty. Hobin takes this advice to heart, and starts viciously attacking 244 in all ways possible, his face resembling that of Baek Seongjun.

Hobin's friends come rushing to find him on top of 244, bashing his head in with a rock. Taehoon restrains Hobin and tells him to stop, since 244 is already down. Hobin keepts trying to fight until Taehoon yells at him and he realizes that he's won. The police arrive and arrest 244 for many charges such as embezzelment, murder, soliciting murder, and the sale and posession of drugs. As 244 glares at Hobin, Hobin wonders if this is truly over.
