Synopsis[]
Dongseok Oh tells Jinho that he is from the New Internation Branch, and he shouldn't be messed with. He starts slapping Jinho around. Dohyee tries to stop him but she is tossed aside. Jinho grapples Dongseok to the ground and tells him that the police are outside, and he doesn't want to be caught in this situation. Shortly afterwards the detective bursts in to find Jinho folding sheets like a normal motel worker. He tells Jinho they got an anyonymous call about a disturbance, but everything seems to be fine. The two ask if they knew the other would be there, and they pretend as though they don't.
Dohyee is sitting with 244 in his art studio. She escaped with Dongseok through the window of the room, which was on the first floor. Dohyee asks if 244 cares that she slept with Dongseok, and he says that he was sad. She tells him that she will be quitting her job to open up a cafe, but she is worried about Jinho because he seems empty inside. Jinho says he feels like he has a knot that needs to be untied: like he is the only person in the world. He pictures Dohyee as a deer.
Dongseok introduces Jinho to his boss, Cheon Il-seok. Cheon is looking for a translator to stay by his side while he does business overseas. Jinho asks Cheon if he has some goal in life that he lives for. Cheon tells him that he is looking for a person like himself, since at times he feels that he is the only person in a world full of animals. Jinho feels the knot start to unravel. Dongeok takes Jinho out for drinks and tells him he is similar to Cheon, but Jinho doesn't notice it.
Dohyee returns from work drunk, and complains about a customer. Jinho tells her that he's finally found a goal in life: to find another person. He murders his girlfriend, and goes to the New International Branch to accept the job position.
